>I’m an avid motorcycle rider and I was using it to figure out how long it would take to travel 25 miles at an average speed of 100 mph. Why don't you just ride at 120 mph, then all you have to do is divide the distance by 2, to work out the number of minutes it will take. Andrejs 2021-06-26 14:46:56. The answer is 2450 / 5 = 490 mph (miles per hour) average speed. If you want the result in km/h, you can convert from miles to km to get 788.58 km/h. Distance formula. The formula for distance, if you know time (duration) and the average speed, is: d = v x t

To determine how far the vehicle will travel while braking, use the formula of 1/2 the initial velocity multiplied by the time required to stop. In this case, this works out to be .5 * 88 * 4.4 = 193.6 feet, plus a reaction time of either 88 feet for a second delay in reaction time, or 176 feet for two seconds reaction time. That yields 281.6 ...

Below is the equation to convert this number into minutes. .85 x 60 (minuntes in 1 hour) = 50 minutes. So, your trip will take 50 minutes from your dock to the island. The last part of the equation is to subtract the travel time by boat from the time the party starts. 8 p.m. – 50 min = 7:10 p.m.

I live in NE Ohio at about 700 feet elevation. Depending somewhat on how steep it is, at 8000 feet I probably go 1.5 mph uphill rather than 2.0 mph; at 10000 I probably go 1.25 mph and at 12000 I may slow down to 1 mph. Above 12000 maybe .75 mph and above 14000 maybe .5 mph (eg Nepal). Your mileage may vary, as they say.

Yes, time travel is indeed a real thing. But it's not quite what you've probably seen in the movies. Under certain conditions, it is possible to experience time passing at a different rate than 1 second per second. And there are important reasons why we need to understand this real-world form of time travel.

More than 100 years ago, a famous scientist named Albert Einstein came up with an idea about how time works. He called it relativity. This theory says that time and space are linked together. Einstein also said our universe has a speed limit: nothing can travel faster than the speed of light (186,000 miles per second).
